RE:	Set Bid Date for Bid Number B1520 Utilities Department 2015 MCC Electrical Preventive Maintenance

Background/Project Description

The Utilities Department requests to bid 67 electrical management devices (out of 165) for preventive maintenance.  These devices control electrical power delivery to the controls and motors used in treating and transporting substances through the water and wastewater systems. Preventive maintenance helps ensure system reliability.  Staff plans to hold a pre-bid meeting with potential contractors to answer questions on May 7, 2015.

Project Funding

Work will be funded from the 2015 Operations and Maintenance budget.

Action

Set a bid opening date of May 19, 2015, for Bid No. B1520 Electrical Preventive Maintenance.
