Construction and Material Specifications Section 2500 – Sanitary Sewer (8” to 18” Mains)

-          Added Section 2503.2.2.e - Material Specification for Stainless Steel Bolts

-          Revised Section 2503.2.3.b – Modify allowable application for use of Fusible PVC

-          Revised Section 2506.2.10.a – Location Wire to meet manufactures recommendations for uses

-          Revised Section 2506.2.10.e – Added Copperhead SnakeBite only used with Copperhead Wire

-          Revised Section 2507.2.8 – No rock allowed within 36 inches of pipe embedment and no rock greater than 3” in any trench.

-          Added Section 2510.3.8.a.3 – Specific manhole rig and lid specifications

-          Revised Section 2511.1 – Revised to match water separation requirements

-          Added Section 2511.2 - Added separation requirements between utilities other than water lines.

Design Criteria Section 5900 - Waterlines

-          Revised Section 2905.2.1 – specified “back of curb” waterlines minimum cover of 42”

-          Added Section 2905.2.2 – minimum cover for waterlines under pavement of 60”

-          Added Section 5905.4 – separation requirements between utilities other than sanitary sewer

-          Revised Section 5907.2 – revised backflow prevention location requirements based on size of fire line.

 

Standard Details - Water

Sheet 1:        Added tracer wire to service connection details

                   Added meter support to “Typical ¾” & 1” Service Connections

                   Revised note 3 to match tracer wire specifications

Revised note 1 to specify the need for an anode on service connections if wire cannot be connected to main wire.

Sheet 2:        Revised minimum depth on the “Waterline ROW Crossing Details” under pavement to be 60”

                   Revised wording on “Fire Hydrant Detail” to be called “Fire Hydrant Assembly Detail”
