RE:	Award bid for two (2) half ton 2X4 trucks

Background

The City Commission authorized funds for the replacement of Parks & Recreation Department equipment in the 2015 budget process.  These units are direct replacements for Unit No. 517, which is a 1999 model year truck, and Unit No. 525 which is a 2000 model year truck.  Both units transport materials, tooling, and staff for park maintenance operations.

Staff Recommendation

The Central Maintenance Garage and Parks & Recreation recommends the purchase of two (2) half ton trucks from Laird Noller Ford, in the amount of $40,780.

Funding
