RE:	Lease/Purchase of Golf Course Mower

Description

The City of Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department requests Commission approval to replace a 2003 finish mower that is used to mow rough at Eagle Bend Golf Course. This unit will be replaced with a new slope mower that will be used daily to maintain the course. The mower will be purchased using pricing from a cooperative purchasing agreement with the State of Kansas (Contract EVT0003363) and set up on a three (3) year lease for $9,270.66 per year, which would result in a total purchase price of $26,896.43.

Funding

Funds are available for this lease/ purchase payment in the Golf Course Budget.

Action Request

Approve the purchase of and authorize the City Manager to sign a three (3) year lease/ purchase agreement with Professional Turf Products, L.P. for the purchase of a new rough mower at Eagle Bend Golf Course, with three (3) equal payments of $9,270.66, totaling $26,896.43.
