Sale of surplus equipment on GovDeals. |
The following equipment meets or exceeds the criteria for replacement or is no longer useful to the City. We request City Commission approval to sell the surplus equipment on GovDeals as we have done in the past.
POLICE EQUIPMENT
Police Department has one (1) each 2002, 2010, and 2011 Crown Victoria Police Interceptors to sell. All of the Crown Vic’s are in poor condition. The Crown Victoria’s have extensive paint deficiencies, worn interiors and are at the end of useable service life.
PARKS AND REC EQUIPMENT
Parks and Recreation has a 2001 and 2003 Chevrolet 1500 truck to sell. Both of these vehicles are in fair condition.
KAW PRODUCTION
Kaw Production has a 1999 Ford Taurus for sell. The vehicle is in poor condition.
WASTEWATER
The Wastewater Division has a 2003 John Deere Gator and a 2006 Ford Crown Victoria to sell. The Gator has extensive rust damage and has been replaced by another. It is listed as poor condition. The Ford has hail damage and is also in poor condition.
RISK MANAGEMENT
Risk Management has a Chrysler 300 and Plymouth Voyager SE to sell. Both vehicles were purchased by the cities insurance as they were damaged by a city vehicle. These vehicles are in poor condition. Vehicles have extensive damage.
STORM WATER
Kaw Production has a 2003 Ford F350 for sell. The vehicle has a variety of issues and is in poor condition.
ENGINEERING
Engineering has the following vehicles to sell; 1998 Ford F150, 1991 Ford Explorer and a 2000 Chevrolet 1500. All three have a variety of issues and all are in poor condition.

Vehicles have been replaced by newer units in the fleet. These vehicles have been assessed by Central Maintenance and determined that they have no reassignment value within the fleet. Several of these units will have repair costs that will exceed the current value of the vehicle
