RE:	Land licenses for Common Ground Program 2015

The City received a request from Cody Wingfield and Anna McCoy, Kathleen Hamilton and Adam Weigel, and Nick Brown to participate and manage community gardens within the Common Ground Program in response to the program’s requests for applications for 2015.  Attached to this memo you will find three license agreements for 1304 Pennsylvania, 1313 Pennsylvania, and Douglas County Parcel Number(s) N08024-10 near the Maple Grove Cemetery in North Lawrence. All three parcels were prior participants in the Common Ground program. The Douglas County Food Policy Council reviewed application submissions for the Common Ground program and found the three candidates listed above as the best suit for the properties listed.

Recommendation:

Authorize the City Manager to execute license agreements for the use of city property for agricultural use in the Common Ground Program for:  1313 Pennsylvania, 1304 Pennsylvania & Douglas County Parcel Number(s) N08024-10.
