RE: |
Airport Capital Improvement Program (ACIP) for Lawrence Municipal Airport |
Annually, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requests that airports review, update, and submit their proposed Airport Capital Improvement Projects for the next five (5) years. As with any multi-year capital plans, these projects are what the local airports/communities see as necessary to maintain safety and service at airport facilities. The FAA uses these plans for budgeting and prioritizing funding. These projects, if approved and funded by the FAA, are typically a 90/10 cost share (FAA 90% and City 10%).
The Airport Advisory Board has reviewed the ACIP and is recommending that the attached list of projects is needed and should be submitted to the FAA for consideration.
Action
Approve submittal of the 5 year Airport Capital Improvement Plan for the Lawrence Municipal Airport.
