RE:	2015 Vehicle Purchase

The Police Department has requested bids for nine (9) Ford Police Utility Interceptors (Bid No. 1469) and one (1) Ford Special Service Expedition (Bid No. 1468).  Bids for the Police interceptors were received from Shawnee Mission Ford and Laird Noller Ford.  The expedition only received a bid from Laird Noller Ford. 

Shawnee Mission Nine (9) Utilities	$239,767.00
Laird Noller Nine (9) Utilities	$241,222.00
Laird Noller one (1) Expedition	$35,990.00

Both bidders meet specifications and the local preference ordinance applies with the police interceptors.  Laird Noller’s bid is within one percent (1%) of the Shawnee Mission bid. 

Funding:

Funding has been approved in the 2015 budget process.

Action Request:

Award City Bid No. B1469 for nine (9) 2015 Ford Police utility interceptors to Lard Noller Ford in the amount of $241,222 and award City Bid No. B1468 for one (1) 2015 Ford Expedition to Laird Noller Ford in the amount of $35,990.
