RE:	Agenda Items 12/2/2014: Traffic Safety Commission, No Parking on University Drive from Brittany Place to Weston Square

Background

At the October 6 Traffic Safety Commission meeting, the Commission heard a request to establish NO PARKING along the south side of University Drive between Brittany Place and Weston Square. University Drive is classified as a “local” street in a residential area and is paved approximately 26 feet wide. Parking is currently prohibited along the south side of University Drive from Crestline Drive to Brittany Place.

Traffic Safety Commission Action

At the Traffic Safety Commission meeting, one (1) resident of University Drive spoke in support of the request. The Commission recommended, on a vote of 8-0, to recommend denying the request for NO PARKING along the south side of University Drive from Brittany Place to Weston Square.

Action Request

It is recommended that the City Commission concur with the recommendation of the Traffic Safety Commission, if appropriate.
