Background

Utilities Department requested bids for water and wastewater chemicals for 2015. Bids were opened on October 21, 2014 and evaluated by City staff. The bid summary is attached with the recommended bid marked by a triple asterisk (***). The recommended bids are based on the low bid that met the chemical specifications and includes shipping requirements. For carbon explanation, please reference attachment.  A comparison of chemical use from 2011 to September 2014 and unit prices is attached.

Project Funding

The chemicals will be funded from the water, wastewater and collection system 2015 Operations and Maintenance Budget.
