RE:	Bid recommendation – 2014 Master Street Tree Project

Background

On October 28, 2014, Parks and Recreation Department opened bids for the 2014 Master Street Tree Program. This project bid the purchase and installation of 180 street trees.

Staff Recommendation

Rosehill Gardens was the low vendor that bid the project at a cost of $235.00 per tree, for the 2” tree, for a total cost of $42,300 for the 180 trees. The work would start immediately upon getting the trees dug this fall.

Funding for this project comes from the fees collected during the building permit process.

Action

Award the purchase and installation of 180 street trees to Rosehill Gardens at a total price of $42,300.
