RE:               Change Order for Additional Irrigation at the Lawrence VenturePark

Please include the following item on the City Commission agenda for consideration at the October 7th, meeting:

Authorize the City Manager to sign a change order in the amount of $21, 014 to Preferred Lawn Services to extend the irrigation at Lawrence VenturePark.

Project Description

Over the past few months the City of Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department have overseen the initial phases of landscape and irrigation installation at Lawrence VenturePark. As roads continue to be completed to the north, there is a need to extend the irrigation and landscaping further north as well. The requested change order would allow the contractor that is on-site to continue with installation of irrigation to these areas.

Project Funding

The proposed change to Purchase Order #009963 will be funded as part of the Benefit District approved from Resolution 7015 by CC March 5, 2013.

Action Request

Authorize the City Manager to sign a change order in the amount of $21, 014 to Preferred Lawn Services to extend the irrigation at Lawrence VenturePark.
