RE:	September 2, 2014 Agenda Item - Set Bid Date for the Comprehensive Rehabilitation Program Bid #1451 at 212 Lincoln St and Bid #1452 at 1215 Rhode Island St.

Project Descriptions:

212 Lincoln Street:  Exterior: Trim or remove dangerous overhanging trees. Replace deteriorated siding, fascia, soffits and paint house. Replace roofing, gutters and downspouts.  Install weatherproof GFCI.  Interior: Make minor plumbing repairs to water supply.  Replace furnace, air conditioner and make minor ductwork repairs.  Install smoke detector devices and repair a stair hand rail for safety.  Install jamb liners and stabilize paint on 4 windows.

1215 Rhode Island Street:  Exterior: Replace flat and sloped roofing on the house.  Repoint mortar joints on chimney; replace city sidewalk and homeowner sidewalks.  Interior: Asbestos abatement for an old boiler.  Replace boiler with high efficiency combination heat and domestic hot water boiler.  Install new bathtub with tile surround and grab bars. Replace dangerous gas line.  Alternate to replace roofing on detached garage.

Project Funding:

CDBG funds in the Comprehensive Rehabilitation Loan Program.

Recommendation Action:

Set Bid Date for the Comprehensive Rehabilitation Program Bid #1451 at 212 Lincoln St and Bid #1452 at 1215 Rhode Island St. for September 30, 2014.
