MANAGEMENT PLAN
ROUTE:
· The walkers will start at North Park and Massachusetts
· The walk will proceed north to 11th Street, then turn west
· The walk will proceed to Vermont Street, then turn north
· The walk will proceed north to 9th Street, then turn east
· The walk will proceed east to New Hampshire Street, then turn south
· The walk will proceed south to 11th Street, then turn west.
· The walk will proceed west to Massachusetts Street, then turn south.
· The walk will proceed to North Park and Massachusetts, then terminate in South Park.
STAGING:
The walkers will stage in South Park at North Park and Massachusetts Street. They will be led by a marked patrol unit and followed by a marked patrol unit. The patrol units will meet the walkers in the staging area.
VOLUNTEERS:
Volunteer course marshals should be dressed in bright reflective traffic control attire (either shirts or vests). The course marshals will walk along the edges of the walkers, ensuring that all participants stay in the right hand lanes of the streets, allowing oncoming vehicles to pass. Event organizers must provide an adequate number of course marshals to adequately control their expected number of participants.
