RE:	Airport REIL’s Project 3-20-0047-020; City Project Number PW1413 Lighted Guidance and Signage for Runways and Taxiways

On November 19, 2013 the City Commission received the “Go Letter” from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). 

On December 10, 2013 the City Commission entered into an agreement with Airport Development Group (ADG) for design of this project.

The project consists of safety improvements and upgrades to the lighting and signage systems at the Airport.  The project is funded ninety percent (90%) by the FAA and ten percent (10%) by the City of Lawrence (see attached cost and funding summary).

On June 10, 2014 bids were received.  The bids were reviewed by ADG and the recommendation is to award the project to Capital Electric in the amount of $219,745.

Action

Pending FAA approval, award bid from Capital Electric for Project PW1413, Airport REIL’s in the amount of $219,745.00.
