Project Description
The crosswalk marking project consists of grinding the pavement and gluing intersection-grade pavement marking material in place for crosswalks and stop lines. A total of 25 crosswalks and stop lines at nine (9) intersections will be targeted (list attached).
The Iowa Street pavement marking project will include installation of permanent pavement markings throughout the limits of the 2013 Iowa reconstruction project (see bid tab).
The bid alternate included removal of epoxy pavement marking on Bob Billings Parkway/15th Street that was installed with the Iowa Project and reinstalled using pavement marking tape. The epoxy pavement markings still have a good presence and life expectancy and staff is not recommending improving these markings at this time.
