RE:	2014 Downtown Lawrence, Inc. - Annual Sidewalk Sale

The city has received a Street Event Permit from Downtown Lawrence, Inc. (DLI) and a request for exclusive use of the downtown sidewalks along Massachusetts Street from 6^th Street to 11^th Street on July 17, 2014 from 5:00 am to 9:00 pm to hold its annual downtown sidewalk sale. The city has mailed notification of the City Commission consideration of this item to properties located adjacent to Massachusetts Street. In addition, Parks and Recreation, Public Works, Fire/Medical, Lawrence Transit, and the Chamber all have reviewed this permit with no issues.

ACTIONS

Approve Street Event Permit for DLI’s annual downtown sidewalk sale on July 17, 2014 from 5:00 am to 9:00 pm.

Approve exclusive use of the public sidewalk adjacent to both sides of Massachusetts Street from 6^th Street to 11^th Street on July 17, 2014 from 5:00 am to 9:00 pm.
