RE:	Bid Date for Floor Scrubber for Center at Rock Chalk Park

Please include the following item on the City Commission agenda for consideration at the June 3, 2014 meeting:

Set a bid opening date of June 17, 2014, for the purchase of a riding floor scrubber for the recreation facility at Rock Chalk Park.

Project Description

The City of Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department requests bidding of a new riding floor scrubber that will be used in the recreation facility at Rock Chalk Park. This machine will be used to clean the floor in the facility.

Project Funding

It is estimated that the total cost for this equipment would be $24,000 and will be funded using capital money budgeted in fund 216, Special Recreation.

Action Request

The City of Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department staff requests approval from the City Commission to set a bid date of June 17, 2014, for the purchase of a floor scrubber to be used at the recreation facility at Rock Chalk Park.
