RE:	Excavator Purchase for Utilities Department

Background

The Utilities Department request the purchase of a Bobcat E85 excavator for operations related to water main replacement.

Staff Recommendation

Utilities and Central Maintenance Garage Staff recommend the purchase of a Bobcat E85 excavator from Clark Equipment Company, utilizing the NJPA cooperative purchasing contract #060311-CEC (see attached quote). 

Funding

Funding for this purchase is covered by the 501-7-7610-6004 account approved in the 2014 budget process.

Action

Authorize the Utilities Department to purchase an E85 excavator for the purchase price of $85,457.32 from Clark Equipment Company DBA Bobcat Company.
