Bid date for Concessions Equipment for Center at Rock Chalk Park

 

 

Please include the following item on the City Commission agenda for consideration at the May 20, 2014 meeting:

 

Set a bid opening date of June 3, 2014, for the purchase of all City owned concessions equipment for the recreation facility at Rock Chalk Park.

 

Project Description

The City of Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department requests bidding of the concessions equipment that will be used in the new recreation facility at Rock Chalk Park. The City will purchase equipment like freezers, refrigerators, ovens, and other large cooking equipment that would be considered permanent fixtures in the building. The concessions vendor will supply other smaller food prep equipment that they feel is necessary to successfully operate the concessions operation.    

 

Project Funding

It is estimated that the total cost for this equipment would be $40,000 and will be funded using capital money budgeted in the Special Recreation Fund budget.

 

Action Request

The City of Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department staff requests approval from the City Commission to set a bid date of June 3, 2014, for the purchase of concession equipment for the recreation facility at Rock Chalk Park.
