Background

The Utilities Department requests to purchase a Bobcat T590 used in daily operations to include, but not limited to:  debris clean up, material handling, and jobsite maintenance. 

Staff Recommendation

Staff from the Central Maintenance Garage and Utilities Department recommends the purchase of a Bobcat T590 from Clark Equipment Co., utilizing prices per the NJPA Contract #060311-CEC.  The Utilities Department has exercised the option for trade value of an existing skid steer to reduce the purchase price.

Included with the purchase is a broom/bucket combo, a 74” smooth bucket, and a 74” tooth bucket.

Funding

The project will be funded from the Department of Utilities Operations & Maintenance Budget. 

Action

Authorize the Utilities Department to purchase a Bobcat T590 and attachments from Clark Equipment Co. for the price of $50,852.59 minus trade value of $5000 for an ending balance of $45,852.59.
