Reconstruction of Naismith Drive and

Crescent Road/Jayhawk Boulevard Intersection

The University of Kansas is reconstructing Naismith Drive from 15th St to Crescent Road/Jayhawk Boulevard in summer of 2014.  Contingent on funding the intersection of Naismith and Crescent/Jayhawk Blvd may be included in the project.

The City and University are seeking input on geometric improvements for the intersection to enhance pedestrian and vehicle safety.  Options include limiting turning movements and vehicular access to Crescent Road from Naismith Drive. 

A meeting will be held on April 9th from 6:00p to 7:00p in the Gridiron Room of Burge Union, 1601 Irving Hill Rd to provide information and answer questions about the reconstruction of the intersection; both City and University staff will be present.
