Sale of surplus equipment on GovDeals |
The following
equipment meets or exceeds the criteria for replacement or is no longer useful
to the City (see attached
spreadsheet). We request City Commission approval to sell the surplus equipment
on GovDeals as we have done in the past.
POLICE EQUIPMENT
Police Department
has one (1) each 2004, 2008, and 2009 Crown Victoria Police Interceptors and one
(1) 1996 Chevy Suburban to sell. The
Crown Vics and Suburban have been replaced and are being removed from fleet due
to normal rotation and have received all regularly scheduled maintenance.
UTILITIES EQUIPMENT
Utilities
Department has a 1999 Ford Taurus SE and a large variety of brass pack joint
fittings, non-domestic brass fittings, setter, resetters, Badger meters and 1”
Ford setters to sell. The Taurus has
received regularly scheduled maintenance. The large variety of miscellaneous
items is being sold as scrap. All
fitting have a lead content higher than .25%.
PARKS AND REC EQUIPMENT
Parks and Rec has
a 1989 Ditch-Witch C99 Ditch Trencher w/trailer to sell. This item has received regularly scheduled
maintenance, has metal in the oil and needs a chain, teeth and tires.
PUBLIC WORKS EQUIPMENT
Public Works
Department has a cart to sell. The Cart
Washer is being sold due to it being cost prohibitive. It uses too much propane in the cleaning
process and was replaced in 2012 with a new cart cleaning process. This cart washer is in good condition and is
missing the hand wash wand.
PROPERTY MAINTENANCE
Property
Maintenance has a 1998 Ford F150 Pickup w/8’ bed to sell. This vehicle has received regularly scheduled
maintenance and has a transmission that is slipping.
STREET MAINTENANCE
Street Maintenance
Department has a 2007 Atlas Copco Air Compressor XAS97 to sell. This unit has been removed from the fleet due
to normal rotation and has received regularly scheduled maintenance. Tech reports the compressor is locked up and
the screw compressor and veins are damaged.
The tech found galding in the housing and end plate.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
IT Department has
90 outdated/broken PCs and Laptops to sell.
These outdated/broken PCs and Laptops have been replaced in 2013.
MISCELLANEOUS VEHICLES
City has one (1)
1997 Mercury Sable and one (1) 2005 Ford Focus SES. No maintenance records are available for
these vehicles. The Sable has collision
damage on the passenger side door and the Focus has collision damage on the
front end. These two vehicles are not
part of City fleet.
