RE:

Annual software maintenance for G. E. Fanuc software

Background

The Intellution software is used by the Utilities Department to manage the SCADA networks operating the GE Fanuc equipment controlled by the software for all three Utilities facilities.  The term “SCADA” is an industry term that is short for “Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition.”  SCADA systems are centralized systems which monitor and control entire sites, controlling most actions by automatically performing processes by Remote Terminal Units ("RTUs") or by programmable logic controllers ("PLCs").   The SCADA systems process and log operations at intervals that aren’t practical by staff personnel.  The City pays annual software maintenance for software used with GE Fanuc equipment used by the Utilities Department.

This is a sole source purchase.  This software is manufacturer specific and is purchased directly from the Manufacturer (G. E. Fanuc), but processed through the provider for our territory, Industrial Network Systems, (INS).  INS processes orders of G. E. Fanuc software for end-users, resellers and integrators in this area.

Funding

The software is funded by the Utilities Department and is broken down as follows:
