BA Green Invoices for Temporary Library Relocation

 

Please place the following item on the agenda for consideration of the City Commission at their meeting on March 4, 2014:

 

Authorize payment to BA Green in the amount of $18,403 for work relating to the modular offices at the temporary library location. 

 

Background

In order to accelerate the renovation and expansion of the Lawrence Public Library, the library was temporarily relocated to the former Borders building located at 700 New Hampshire.  Modular office space was constructed in the parking lot of the building and walkways were constructed to connect the offices to one another and to the main building. 

 

The Library has requested the City pay these costs from bond proceeds from the Library project.  The request, including two invoices from BA Green for $18,403 for the construction of the walkways and some concrete trailers tie-downs, are attached. 

 

Action Requested

Staff requests the City Commission to authorize payment to BA Green in the amount of $18,403 for work relating to the modular offices at the temporary library location.
