RE:	Bid date for Landscape at Lawrence VenturePark

Please include the following item on the City Commission agenda for consideration at the March 4th, meeting:

Set a bid opening date of March 25, 2014, for the purchase and installation of landscape plant materials at Lawrence VenturePark.

Project Description

The City of Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department requests bidding for the purchase and installation of landscape plant materials at the entrance and highway frontage of Lawrence VenturePark. This landscape will be the first two phases of the landscape master plan for the property. Additional phases will follow as the park begins to develop.

Project Funding

It is estimated that the total cost for this project would be $53,000 and will be funded as part of the Benefit District approved from Resolution 7015 by CC March 5, 2013.

Action Request

The City of Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department staff requests approval from the City Commission to set a bid date of March 25, 2014, for the purchase and installation of landscape plant materials at Lawrence VenturePark.
