Please include the following item on the City Commission agenda for consideration at the March 4th, meeting:
Set a bid opening date of March 25, 2014, for the contracted installation of landscape irrigation at Lawrence VenturePark.
Project Description
The City of Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department requests the bidding of contracted services for the installation of landscape irrigation for the entrance and highway frontage of Lawrence VenturePark. This irrigation will allow turf and plant material to be maintained at a level appropriate for attracting businesses to the community.
Project Funding
It is estimated that the total cost for this project would be $45,000 and will be funded as part of the Benefit District approved from Resolution 7015 by the City Commission March 5, 2013.
Action Request
The City of Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department staff requests approval from the City Commission to set a bid date of March 25, 2014, for the irrigation installation at Lawrence VenturePark.
