RE:	Award Recommendation for BID #B1403

PROTECTIVE BODY ARMOR – POLICE DEPARTMENT

The Police Department is requesting to purchase thirty-eight (38) ballistic vests.  The low bid from Southern Uniform and Equipment does not meet the required specifications; they bid a different vest than was required.

We received bids from three (3) vendors.  Please see accompanying bid tab.

Recommendation Action: 

Award B1403 for 38 ballistic vests for the Police Department to Alamar Uniforms for $22,382.00.
