Aviation Advisory Board Meeting

I Call to order:

Richard Haig called the meeting to order at 6:35 PM.

II Review and approval of September 11, 2013 meeting minutes:

The September 11, 2013 Board Meeting minutes reviewed. Bruce Boyer moved and Cherry Thompson seconded the motion to approve the minutes of May 8, 2013, as amended. Motion passed by a vote of 5-0.

III. Airport Manager’s Report

Sewer done; runway painting done.

Self-fueling application was submitted, no response until the end of December with official announcement in January, 2014. Rick Bryant reported there is stiff competition; $33M requests for $5-7M available money.

IV. FBO Report – No report

Plane (Bonanza) gear up landing on Saturday. Need to repair the prop dings.

V. 2014 Aviation Youth Camp

Get some flyers out before January to school.

Tentative Date – 6/14/14; 99s and CAP will help out.

VI. Miscellaneous Business

The Board discussed the Delaware Indian purchase of land in the approach to Runway 01 and the city leaders who visited with the Delaware tribe, no plan for development now.

Jeff Deedering at the FAA has three projects set for next REILs, signage and enviromental study.

Discussion of the city budget for 2014 begins in February, 2013 in order to meet the federal budget that begins october, 2014. Board needs to have

1. Options for access and addressing how people will use active taxiway for parking.

2. Plan for future maintenance plus additions.
