RE: |
2013 Weatherization
Program Completion |
The 2013
Weatherization Program is now complete. Twenty-seven
families applied during the month of August.
Three (3) of the applicants’ homes already met the weatherization
guidelines and did not participate in the program.
Twenty-four households received benefits this year.
13
homes had entry doors weather-stripped.
22
homes had their attic insulation increased to an R-38.
11
homes had new storm windows installed.
The total cost of
this year’s program was $27,495.28.
Each homeowner
received a letter letting them know how much of this benefit was used on their
home. A customer survey was sent with the letter and the response results were
tallied and are attached.
Two local
companies were the low bidders for the work this year. They were Airtight, Inc. (attic insulation
and weather-stripping) and Ziegler Glass (storm windows).
