Please place the following on the January 14, 2014 City Commission consent agenda for their consideration:
Award bid for 2014 bus shelter maintenance services for the Lawrence Transit System to Bob’s Janitorial Service and Supply, Inc.
Background
The Lawrence Transit System requested bids for bus shelter maintenance services for 2014. The services included contractors to provide cleaning service biweekly, trash removal twice per week, light maintenance, and waste receptacle installation as requested for transit shelters located throughout the City of Lawrence.

This purchase was included in the budget adopted for the Public Transportation Fund for 2014.
Recommended Action:
Staff recommends the City Commission authorize the City Manager to award the bid for 2014 bus shelter maintenance services for the Lawrence Transit System to Bob’s Janitorial Service and Supply, Inc., in the amount of $13,325.00.
