Project History/Status

Utilities Department requested bids for water and wastewater chemicals for 2014. Bids were opened on November 12, 2013 and evaluated by City staff. The bid summary is attached with the recommended bid marked by a triple asterisk (***). The recommended bids are based on the low bid that met the chemical specifications and includes shipping requirements

Attached is a comparison of chemical use from 2010 to October 2013 and unit prices.

Project Funding: 

The chemicals will be funded from water, wastewater and collection system 2014 Operations and Maintenance Budget.

Action Request:  Staff recommends approval of the Water and Wastewater Treatment Chemicals for 2014 to the bidders marked by a triple asterisk (***) on the attached bid summary.
