Chair Josserand opened the regular monthly meeting at City Hall at 5:35 on October 9, 2013.

Josserand

· Membership reminders will be sent in the month of October

· Member software - will make a proposal to change the service provider to send Sister Cities emails.  Expressed a need to evaluate donor software.

FOE (Friends of Eutin) – K. Albrecht

A 25^th anniversary committee is being formed by K. Albrecht.  The Lawrence delegation will travel to Eutin in June 2014.

October 1-7, 2014, are the proposed dates for the Eutin delegation to visit Lawrence.

FOH (Friends of Hiratsuka) – Hilliard

Shared an end of year review of the 2013 Hiratsuka trip in the form of a power point presentation as well as review of the expenditures.

FOI (Friends of Iniades) – Christilles

No report                                          

By-Laws Committee – will meet in the next two weeks to review the various policies to ensure all are current and accurate.

Nomination Committee – chaired by K. Hodge (B. Williams and S. VanHouten) will have a slate of 2014-2015 officers to be voted on at the November meeting.

Old business: Trip insurance – Moved and seconded with favorable board vote to require mandatory trip insurance for all participants for a one year test at the group rate of approximately $60/ticket.  Travel Leaders would purchase the trip insurance at the time of ticket purchase to cover the cost of the trip.
