Proclamation

Lawrence, Kansas

WHEREAS:       The Salvation Army in Lawrence, Kansas began in 1886; and

WHEREAS:       The Salvation Army has been providing services to the poor, lonely, and destitute of our community for over 100 years; and

WHEREAS:       The Salvation Army will continue to serve and administer to the needs of our community; and

WHEREAS:       The Salvation Army will continue to faithfully serve with Heart to God and Hand to Man;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Mike Amyx, Vice-Mayor of the City of Lawrence, Kansas, do hereby proclaim November 16 – December 24, 2013 as the

“SALVATION ARMY CHRISTMAS

 KETTLE SEASON”
