RE:	Sale of surplus equipment on GovDeals.

The following equipment meets or exceeds the criteria for replacement or is no longer useful to the City. We request City Commission approval to sell the surplus equipment on GovDeals as we have done in the past.

POLICE EQUIPMENT

The Police Department has three (3) 2008 and one (1) 2009 Crown Victoria Police Interceptor and one (1) 2001 B4000 pickup truck to sell.  The Crown Vics have been replaced and are being removed from fleet due to normal rotation and have received all regularly scheduled maintenance.  The B4000 has collision damage on front passenger side and is not part of PDs fleet.

FIRE/MEDICAL EQUIPMENT

The Fire/Medical Department has a 1994 Gladiator Fire Truck to sell.  This unit’s transmission is out and has been replaced.

UTILITIES EQUIPMENT

The Utilities Department has a 2002 F-150 pickup truck and a 1995 F-800 single dump truck to sell.  The F-150 has been replaced and has a bad transmission.  The F-800 has normal wear and use inside and outside vehicle.

PARKS AND REC EQUIPMENT

The Parks and Recreation Department has a 2003 1500 truck, a 2001 F-350 dumping flatbed and a 1996 tandem axle dump truck to sell.  The 1500 and F-350 trucks have been replaced.  These vehicles have damages including but not limited to a bad clutch, engine and transmission leaks, missing doors, leaking bed lift cylinder, weak batteries, damage on the passenger side, hail damage and front end collision damage.

PUBLIC WORKS EQUIPMENT

The Public Works Department has a 1998 F-150 truck, a 1998 Intrepid sedan, a 2002 dump truck, a cart washer and a large quantity of 65 & 95 gallon polycarts.  Two of the vehicles have been replaced and have damages including but not limited to  hydraulic reservoir leak, loose water pump shaft, internal transmission problem, hail damage, loud motor noise, inoperable remote mirror, rust, holes and slipping transmission.  The polycarts are being sold due to durability issues when used with the automated trash trucks.  They have been replaced in 2013 with new rolling carts (Rehrig) that can hold up to the rigors of the gripping arm on the new residential automated trucks.  Carts are in fairly good condition.  The Cart Washer is being sold due to it being cost prohibitive.  It uses too much propane in the cleaning process and was replaced in 2012 with a new cart cleaning process.  This cart washer is in good condition and is missing the hand wash wand.
