Description

The City of Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department requests Commission approval to replace one of the fairway mowing units at Eagle Bend Golf Course. This is highly specialized equipment that is used daily to maintain the golf course. The mower will be purchased using pricing from a cooperative purchasing agreement with the State of Kansas (Kansas Piggy-Back 4425-5) for a total purchase price of $44,634.01. This price includes the trade-in of an old mowing unit.

Funding

Funds are available for this purchase in the Golf Course Budget.

Action Request

Authorize the purchase of a John Deere 7700 Precision Cut Fairway mower for $44,634.01 from the John Deere Company.
