RE:	Street Closures for Mother Earth News Fair

The Mother Earth News Fair (see event website) has requested permission (see permit application) for the following street closures:

• Closure of 7^th Street between Tennessee Street and Kentucky Street, Thursday – Monday, October 10-14, 2013, 24 hrs/day. 
• Closure of the 600 block of Tennessee Street on Sunday, October 13, from 6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. 

The closure of 7^th Street would allow for set up of various vendor booths in the street and would allow for safe passage from one portion of the park to the other during their event in Watson Park. The closure of Tennessee Street for a few hours at the conclusion of the event would help the 200+ exhibitors get their booths packed up and moved out more quickly and safely.

ACTION:       Approve a Temporary Use of Public Right-of-Way Permit for the Mother Earth News Fair allowing the following street closures: closure of 7th Street between Tennessee Street and Kentucky Street, Thursday – Monday, October 10-14, 2013, 24 hrs/day; and closure of the 600 block of Tennessee Street on Sunday, October 13, from 6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
