ORDINANCE NO. 8916
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS, AMENDING CHAPTER V, ARTICLE 1, SECTION 5-176 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS, 2013 EDITION, AND AMENDMENTS THERETO, PERTAINING TO BUILDING AND CONSTRUCTION PERMIT FEES, AND REPEALING EXISTING SECTION 5-176.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF LAWRENCE, KANSAS:
SECTION 1. Section 5-176 of the Code of the City of Lawrence, Kansas, 2013 Edition, and amendments thereto, is hereby amended to read as follows:
5-176 Schedule of permit fees.
On buildings, structures, electrical, gas, mechanical and plumbing systems or alterations requiring a permit, a fee for each permit shall be paid as required, in accordance with the schedule as established by the applicable governing authority.

SECTION 2. Existing section 5-176 of the Code of the City of Lawrence, Kansas, 2013 Edition, and amendments thereto, is hereby repealed, it being the intent of the Governing Body that the provisions of this ordinance supersede that section.
SECTION 3. If any section, clause, sentence, or phrase of this ordinance is found to be unconstitutional or is otherwise held invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, it shall not affect the validity of any remaining parts of this ordinance.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect immediately following its adoption and publication as provided by law.
