RE:	2013 Legislative Priority Statement

The upcoming holiday season reminds us that the Kansas legislative session cannot be far behind.   The 2013 Kansas Legislature convenes Monday, January 14, 2013.   The City traditionally prepares a legislative priority statement to share with our local legislative delegation.   Staff has begun, but not finalized a draft 2013 priorities statement and seeks City Commission guidance and direction.  The Lawrence Chamber of Commerce traditionally hosts a breakfast of area legislators prior to the session.  The meeting date has not been confirmed but will likely be the week of January 7
