The Code of the City of Lawrence was last recodified in January of 2011. Staff recommends recodification to incorporate the ordinances since the code was last published. The below table summarizes the ordinances adopted since the last codification which were substantive additions to the code and/or any changes made in the code during recodification. Adoption of the attached authorization Ordinance 8825 is requested to be followed in coming weeks with an adoption ordinance.
The 2013 codification will also include updates to the various international family of codes. City Attorney’s office staff has been working with Planning & Development Services in preparing the adoption ordinances for the 10 codes (see attached table). These will be ready for commission consideration in December.
