ACTION:      Approve annexation (A-12-00190) of 110 acres, and adopt Ordinance No. 8823 on first reading, if appropriate.

 

·         Consider rezoning, Z-12-00191, approximately 110 acres, from County A (Agricultural) District to GPI (General Public and Institutional Uses) District, located east of Kansas Highway 10 (K-10) and north of W 6th Street adjacent to the Baldwin Creek City Park, generally bounded by E 902 Rd on the west and George Williams Way extended on the east. ACTION:     Approve rezoning (Z-12-00191) of 110 acres, from County A (Agricultural) District to GPI (General Public and Institutional Uses) District, and adopt Ordinance No. 8824 on first reading, if appropriate.

 

·         Consider revisions to Chapter 5, Article 18 of the City Code to revise sign standards to exempt temporary, double-sided freestanding and A-Frame signs from the sign code under certain circumstances.   Staff Memo

·         Concur with the recommendation of the Traffic Safety Commission to approve a request to establish no parking along the south side of Dakota Street from Louisiana Street, east to the sidewalk (approximately 100 feet) and adopt on first reading, Ordinance No. 8812, establishing no parking along the south side of Dakota Street from Louisiana Street, east 80 feet.   TSC item #5; approved 9-0 on 10/1/12.

 

·         Consider authorizing the Mayor to execute an agreement with the Kansas Department of Transportation for the 9th Street, Tennessee Street to Kentucky Street improvements and consider adopting on first reading, Ordinance No. 8815, establishing no parking along the south side of 9th Street from Tennessee Street to Kentucky Street.     Staff Memo & Attachments
