RE:               Bid date for Floor Installation in Holcom Park Recreation Center Bly Room

Please include the following item on the City Commission agenda for consideration at the October 23, 2012 meeting:

Set a bid opening date of November 13, 2012, for a new floor system in the Bly Room at the Holcom Park Recreation Center.  

Project Description

Soliciting bids for the removal of the existing rubber flooring system and the installation of a new Mondo-Harmoni 24” x 24” rubber tile floor in the Bly Room of the Holcom Recreation Center. The existing flooring system is nearly 25 year old and needs replacement.

Project Funding

The total cost of the project will be approximately $18,000 with funding coming from the Sales Tax Reserve fund.

Action Request

The City of Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department staff requests approval from the City Commission to set a bid date of November 13, 2012, for the new flooring system in the Bly Room at Holcom Park Recreation Center.
