RE:	CPA-6-5-09: Consider approval of the Northeast Sector Plan.

History

The Lawrence-Douglas County Planning Commission approved the Northeast Sector Plan at their meeting on May 21, 2012.  The approved Plan maintains the majority of the planning area as agriculture.  Some future industrial land use is designated on the airport property.  However, the area south and west of the airport is designated as future agriculture use.   

The Douglas County Board of Commissioners considered the Planning Commission approved Northeast Sector Plan at their meeting on June 13, 2012.  The Commission, by a vote of 2-1, approved the Northeast Sector Plan.

Recommendation: Approve Comprehensive Plan Amendment (CPA-6-5-09) and adopt on first reading, Ordinance No. 8748/County Resolution 12-19, if appropriate.
