RE:	Update on Recreation Center

At your meeting on September 4, 2012, the City Commission is expected to review and consider a number of items related to the proposed Sports Village/Recreation Center, including:

• An update on the basis of design report detailing additional plans and specifications for the proposed facility; and
• A report from the City’s bond counsel, Gary Anderson, on the status of certain agreements on the proposed project

Additionally, staff is working on a report concerning the possible inclusion of additional items in the proposed lease-purchase agreements.  These items include the necessary stormwater work on the Gateway Addition tract, the inclusion of a walk/jog track along the perimeter of the entire acreage, and the inclusion of additional access road adjacent to the stadiums.  This would be part of the proposed bid structure for the Recreation Center.
