WHEREAS: American Legionnaire and Marine Veteran Lance Robinson, is crossing America to bring awareness of honoring our Brothers and Sisters that have served and are currently serving in the military as well as Police, Fire, and EMT’s; and
WHEREAS: The purpose of Honor Ride Across America is to honor those men and women and promote a day of recognition; and
WHEREAS: Lance Robinson is attempting to travel to 48 state capitol’s to rally support in the creation of a new day of honor;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Robert J. Schumm, Mayor of the City of Lawrence, Kansas, do hereby proclaim Monday, September 10, 2012 as
in the City of Lawrence and encourage all citizens to recognize and honor those in uniform.
