Set a bid date of September 18, 2012 for Bid Number B1251, Project UT1208KW Chlorine Contact Basin Scum Skimmer Equipment Replacement.
Project Details
The existing scum skimmer troughs, located in the chlorine contact basins at the Wastewater Treatment Plant, have been in service since 1975. See the attached photos of the existing equipment. These units are operated to remove accumulated scum and other surface debris from the treated wastewater prior to its discharge to the Kansas River. The operating mechanisms have reached the end of their useful life and one of the units has failed.
Project Status
Department of Utilities Engineering and Maintenance Staff have completed specifications and bid documents for the purchase and installation of new scum skimmer equipment. This project is ready to bid.
