Project Description
The Utilities Department requests to bid fifty-nine (59) electrical management devices for preventive maintenance. There are currently 165 electrical management devices between the plants and lift stations. The electrical management devices control power delivery to the controls and motors within the Utility Department facilities. The controls and motors are used in the treatment and transport of water within the water and wastewater systems. The electrical management devices are located at the water and wastewater treatment plants and lift station locations within the city. This preventive maintenance program helps ensure the reliability of the electrical components that are tested and the components they provide power to. Utilities staff will plan a pre-bid meeting with potential contractors to answer questions on June 26.
Project Funding
The work will be funded from the 2012 Operations and Maintenance budget for 501.7.7210.2531, 501.7.7220.2531, 501.7.7310.2531, and 501.7.7410.2531.
