Please include this item on the next available City Commission agenda.

This request is to consider dedication of additional easement for public utility improvements on property located at the southwest corner of Crossgate Drive and Clinton Parkway in conformance with approved Public Improvement Plans.

The preliminary plat was originally considered by the City Commission on Tuesday October 11, 2011 for the acceptance of easements and rights of way. The Final Plat was submitted to the Planning Office for review and administratively approved subject to conditions on November 20, 2011 (PF-7-4-11).

The applicant has completed the Public Improvement Plans for this project. During that review, it was determined that the 10’ sanitary sewer easement originally proposed is required to be a 20’ utility easement.  The submitted Final Plat reflects the additional easement width.

In January 2012, revisions to the Subdivision Regulations were adopted.  Acceptance of easements and/or rights-of-way now occurs at the Final Plat stage.  Therefore, this Final Plat should be placed on the Commission’s agenda in order to accept the additional dedication.

Action Requested: Accept easements as shown on Final Plat.
