RE:               Bid Date for Painting of Pools – Lawrence Outdoor Aquatic Center

Description

The City of Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department requests approval to set a bid date of March 27^th for the pool painting project at the Lawrence Outdoor Aquatic Center. The painting of the pools will take place in late summer after the pools are closed for the season. Bidding needs to take place before the pool is filled for the season to allow contractors time to inspect the pool floor.

Funding

This project is being funded by general obligation bonds. The bonds were approved in August of 2011.

Action Request

Establish a bid date of March 27^th for the pool painting project at the Lawrence Outdoor Aquatic Center.
