RE:               Lease / Purchase of Golf Course Mower

Description

The City of Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department requests approval to replace one of the fairway mowers at Eagle Bend Golf Course. This is highly specialized equipment that is used daily to maintain the course. This mower will be purchased using pricing from a cooperative purchasing agreement with the State of Kansas. This is a three year lease for $11,967.48 per year, for a total purchase price of $35,902.44. This price includes the trade-in of the old fairway unit.

Funding

Funds are available for this lease/ purchase payment in the Golf Course Budget.

Action Request

Authorize the City Manager to sign a 3-year lease/ purchase agreement with John Deere Company for the purchase of a new fairway mower at Eagle Bend Golf Course. With three equal payment of $11,967.48 and totaling $35,902.44.
